Graham Steen Art.

I am a retired architect who has always worked in pencil, pen and ink as a designer of places and building. It has been my privilege to work for national and international clients who have appreciated my understanding of the lived and built environments. I retired from practice over 20 years ago, but have continued to use my skills as a designer, drawer and painter.

Salisbury Cathedral

I developed my freehand skills over many years and have drawn, coloured and created since I was very young. I have used these skills to design a variety of buildings in Europe and the UK. I currently have a special interest in historic landscapes and in particular, Devon & Cornwall. I like to record old farms and other buildings in their natural settings of moorland and town.

I have sailed boats all my life and use drawing and paint to create images of the rivers and harbours in the far SW and beyond. It enables me to record a spot in time when life stops and can be held for posterity.

Admirals Hard, Stonehouse, Plymouth

I am currently working on a set or pen & Indian ink drawings, some of which have been rendered in watercolour, of the Stonehouse Peninsula, Plymouth, captured in early 1990’s before the work of the the Plymouth Development Corporation.
